Visakoivu, curly birch or gnarled birch. One of the most valuable wood material in the world. Visakoivu is very strong wood material and it has got very beautiful curly patterns and nicely curved surface.
Kelo wood, forest snag. Kelo wood can be several hundreds of years old. In the north it takes a few hundreds of years for the pine trees to grow and then they can stand upright another hundreds of years developing a beautiful silver-grey weathered surface due to dehydration in the dry coldness of Lapland.
